Requirements to submit feedback to our public board:
To encourage constructive and genuine discussions, we have the following limitations on who may submit feedback:
- Your inkblot profile must be complete (Profile picture, cover banner, bio visible)
- You have a minimum of 3 posts.
- Your account has existed for at least 3 months
Why do this?
In the past we have tried many feedback boards and many different ways to engage with our users. We have found that:
- Anonymous feedback would cause harassment and aggressive disputes between users
- New Users that only used InkBlot once and had no knowledge of how to use the platform would make suggestions or feedback that was already implemented
- New Users would give feedback that would or could not be followed up with.
This would lead to nonconstructive or occasionally hostile interactions that took priority away from genuine feedback from members of the community. This system lets us prioritize suggestions from folks who have used the site to a substantial degree, and can provide proper in depth feedback.
